- Jordan BerryhillFeb 01, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Sit right down kids and I will tell you the tale of the lost package and UPS's lost integrity. After I missed a delivery from UPS (and received a "sorry we missed you" note) I went down to my local UPS access point to retrieve said package. I was told that it wasn't there. No worries I figured, probably just still on the truck, I'll check back later... I'm in no hurry. Little did I know that this would turn into a back and forth fight with UPS for the next 3 weeks. I would go to the access point and they would say the package wasn't there. I would contact customer service and they would tell me it was there. On and on they dragged me around, giving me promises that so-and-so would call me back or that they would have it for me tomorrow.
The problem, you see, was that no one wanted to own up to that fact that my package was lost. No one had the integrity or courtesy to just tell me what had actually happened (perhaps they lack the competency to know that they lost it, although that doesn't sound much better for them). Instead they preferred to just string me along. Even on the last day of this ridiculous journey, when I was talking to the seller and UPS at the same time, UPS would not admit they had lost my package. Fortunately, the seller was willing to do right by me and reship the product (not via UPS, thank God!).
Every part of UPS failed me as a customer. The driver who failed to do their proper scans. This shop that repeatedly failed to actually look for my package or just admit that it was lost (not sure which is worse). And certainly the corporate office that repeatedly failed to answer my requests or return my calls.
Long story short, I will never choose to use UPS ever again. I will adamantly campaign that my friends, family and any sellers I deal with make the same choice. And I suggest you think twice about using their service.
